Excellent advice. The exercises will be my Saturday. Thank you!

Believe it or not, I revisit this set of exercises periodically and work through them. It's easy to backslide, especially when I get caught up in how much I think I have to say!

So true - Depending on how excited I am about what I want to say, I slide into the "write like I talk" mode and forget to lose my "is" and "are" and "just" too many times. Passive voice ruins me as well, on occasion, so if you have any magical advice for that problem, I would love to read it!

Super useful, as always.

PS guilty as charged re. use of 'that'

Me too, Mike and Luna!

And just.

And conjunctions...

Me too, Mike.

We all fall prey to that. It’s just an easy error.

Just really a very fundamentally helpful article due to the fact of its essentially just useful tips, that, at the end of the day, and for all intents and purposes, basically kind of summarize what we really need to pay attention to. I learned so much!

This is fundamentally a very silly comment that really cries out for a few more passive verbs and multiple adverbs that can inspire me to anxiously write more anxiously.

Glad to help. I review stuff like this on my own pretty constantly. It’s easy to fall into old habits. Thanks for reading, Rick.
