I love words but find myself using fewer of them to write. I remember telling my students to be creative when they wrote - don't say said, say demanded or argued or begged or cried or screamed. Now i simply want to say what I want in the fastest way possible, cool words be damned.
My husband and I just returned from a cruise of the British Isles,and during a tour of North Wales we stopped in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, a village in NW Wales, in SE Anglesey: reputed to be the longest place name in Great Britain when unabbreviated; means: St Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near the rapid whirlpool of Llandysilio of the red cave. 😊

Long, long ago in sales training, I was taught that when you hit a bump in the road, reset your mind and go back to basics. It's not a bad strategy!
